Smart Surfaces – and their Application in Architecture and Design Book Design, 170 x 240 mm, 2009 at onlab
The book introduces possibilities which new kinds of surface can hold for both Designers and Architects. To emphasise the idea of surface we produced illustrations by working them off a surface: Linocut. Complex technical components, processes, production methods or application of diverse surfaces were visualized with this handmade technique. The illustrations were contrasted with high-gloss pictures of new surface technologies and materials. Quotes and images deriving from the future-driven idea of the topic complemented the whole.
Layout in collaboration with Matthias Hübner, under art direction of onlab.
My part included basic layout structure, font use, grid, detailed layout of image and projects sections.
